So... I know it's been a very long time since I've done this but life is always busy. I have been enjoying every minute and trying to enjoy my children as time FLIES by. Trying to not let them grow up before I realize it. I don't think I can prevent the "growing up" part too well!
Case in point: READ ON!
~You see, Ty has a friend that moved to town 2 years ago and even goes to church with us. Colbi and Ty have always had a love/hate relationship. They sit together for half of the church service, they spend time together at school until Colbi says not this week. (When asked if this hurts his feelings, he says, "No, she just talk to me next week!" This year Colbi and her mom even got to go to LTC. We had adjoining rooms. Needless to say, Colbi and Ty were practically joined at the hip!

Fun at Ojeda's
Zombie eyes
At Ojeda's, this is how the conversation went:
Colbi: Ty, we're going to share.
Ty: OK
Colbi: Want do you want?
Ty: Whatever you want.
Colbi: Enchiladas
Ty: OK, beef enchiladas
Colbi: No, TY, cheese
Ty: ummm, but I don't like cheese enchiladas
Colbi: but I do
Billy: You can both order what you want and get your own plates.
Colbi and Ty: No! We have to share.
~Poor, confused waiter arrives~
Colbi: Ty, you're suppose to order for us.
Ty: We would like enchiladas. 2 cheese, 2beef with beans and rice on the side.
Poor, confused waiter: OK, you would like 2 cheese with rice and beans, and you would like 2 beef with rice and beans.
Colbi and TY:NO!!!!
Ty repeats the order; waiter repeats what he said the first time with a very bewildered look on his poor face.
Colbi and Ty: NO!!!!
Billy finally interrupts and explains that they want to share on the same plate. 4 enchiladas, one side of rice and beans.
Poor, confused waiter finally gets it right and the kids beam!
Food comes out, kids smile, asks poor, confused waiter, "Can we please get an extra plate?" Needless to say, he got a really BIG tip!
~So back to today.... Ty comes home and tells Billy that today was the first time in a long time that he has gotten to talk to Colbi without her girl friends hanging around teasing them about.... wait for it... "dating"! (What in the world?! Why do they think about things like this already?) So Billy asked what they talked about. As soon as I got home from work, Billy tells Ty to tell me about his conversation with Colbi at school. I ask what they talked about and he laughs and says, "Well, Mom, we talked about what our wedding will be like if we ever have one." My HEART STOPS HERE but of course I play it off and casually question and listen as he tells me that Colbi has it all planned out. Hot pink is the color and it will be held at the Abilene Country Club. I told him that I was glad Clay and Christie would be footing the bill and it couldn't happen til after they graduate college with Masters. Billy added, "or til you both turn 25, whichever comes later!" Ty says he knows and that they talked about that too. The wisdom of 8yr olds!
~Scary, huh?
