Ty's 5th B-day

Monday was Tyler's birthday and we had a day full of fun! It was also Kaegen's birthday, too, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAEGEN!!!
To start the day, I went to Abilene to pickup the cupcakes for Tyler and Kailee's classes. We celebrated Kailee's b-day with her class, too, since her b-day is on the 27th. Yes, we have 3 days before X-mas and 2 days after. Fun, fun, fun.

After school, we went to Abilene and blew time while we were waiting for eveyone to get to Chuck-E-Cheese. Ty had no idea that we were going to go there for his birthday and it was what he really wanted to do!

Yesterday was the day for the Christmas play at school. They performed at 10 and again at 630 for the Community Club last night. It was SO cute!!! I'm trying to upload the videos, but I'm not sure if it's going to work. Grandmoma, if it doesn't work, I'll bring it with me next week. So in the meantime, here are a few pics from last night. Mom has more and hopefully I will get a few to post.C V

Too Long No Blog!

So, I realize that it has been a month and a half since I last posted anything. So SORRY! I really just get on the computer to be nosy and look at everything then get off quickly! Well, here are a few pics starting around Halloween till now.

Four Generation Pics
We went down to Garland one weekedn to get four generation pictures made with my grandmother, mom, me and Kailee. I don't have one to post, but they turned out really good! My grandmother was so excited that they could remove her oxygen tubing lines from her face!

Breakfast with my grandparents

I just really like this pic of Kailee!

Texas vs. Tech Game

The girls stayed with us while Lane and Page got to visit David and Stephanie in Midland. This was the ONLY time my house was quite that night! Also, Maddie would sit in Uncle Billy's lap and mimic him while watching the game. I didn't think to get out the camera, so there are no pics. Those of you who know Maddie can just use the ol' imagination. It was hilarious!

Thanksgiving

We went to Garland to my grandparents for Thanksgiving. I didn't get many pics but here are a few of Micah, my cousin's husband, playing with the kids in the back yard. They had bought these rubberband planes from Hobby Lobby (I think) and they were the hit of the day!

Zoey did NOT want any help winding the plane!

Maddie's self-portrait. She got a kick out of pushing the button and then seeing what it looked like.

Putting up the tree!

My friend, Ada, had her twin boys on Dec 2nd. Logan Blane was 4lbs 15oz and Dylan Shane was 5lbs 6oz. Dylan is currently in the NICU but Logan was able to come home with his parents. This is Logan in the pic.

Boys will be boys!

So, just a quick note... Tyler was not feeling well today so we let him stay home with me from school. After a quick nap, I let him go outside to play. He LOVES to play outside! It's such a beautiful day, I opened the windows to let in the fresh air and listen to my baby play while I did laundry. I happened to glance through the window to see a long stream of water coming from the trampoline. I thought "Good grief! He's got the water hose out and he's going to be freezing"...in the next few seconds, I realized that it was NOT the water hose! Yes... my baby was standing on the edge, doing his business, for all the world to see in the front yard. BOYS! :)

My Baby's Growing Up!

Last weekend, Kailee went to the State Fair of Texas in Dallas to show her goats. For those of you who don't know, this is something my mom started with her when she was just a baby. Her first time in the ring by herself was at 3yrs. old. She loves it! Mom has also adopted two other girls in the years since. Caitlyn is a freshman from Merkel and Sophie is a 7th grader from Highland. Sophie is the daughter of my good friend Chris from nursing school. Mom calls them The Blue Gainey Girls. Well, at the State Fair's junior show, the girls swept the show! I can't remember all of it, but Kailee did very well. She had Grand Champion Percentage Doe, Best Pair of Does, Best Pair of Opposite Sex, Best Herd and then earned Premier Exhibitor! How exciting!

Since I had to work, we could not attend so we went to the zoo with Ty instead. The animals were out and about! Oh what fun we had!

Ty's favorite animal is the alligator. He was the most active we have ever seen him. He even put on a show by swimming around, coming to us and lifting out of the water, rumbling so that the water shook, and opening his mouth.

Ty's school project was to turn a pumpkin into something. He chose a shark and we just happened to find an oblong pumpkin. Billy cut the fins out of wood, I drew the lines and Ty painted. FUN!

After I dropped Ty and his shark off at school Monday morning, I went home to sleep since I work at night. When he got home from school, did he have a surprise for me! Apparently, he went to the bathroom during school and pulled out his loose tooth by himself. That night, Billy kept looking and saying how little his tooth was. I came to the sudden realization of how big my baby is getting! He lost his first tooth! I just wanted to go glue it back in and keep him little for ever! Needless to say, I controlled that urge and the Tooth Fairy did visit, much to Tyler's delight!

Fair Week

So this was the week of our West Texas Fair and Rodeo and, of course, I forgot to take my camera the THREE times we were there, so all I have are pics I took with my phone and pics of Kailee that my dear friend Donna took of her showing. I'll post those as soon as I get them. So in the meantime, here are the few I got...

Zoey helping Kailee wash goats! She followed Kailee but DID NOT want to touch the goats!

My kids LOVE the roller coaster!

My dad also took all of us the the rodeo. Kailee, my niece Madi, and my dad are like three peas in a pod. They love the rodeo! Madi, at only 1, was very engrossed and her eyes very rarely left the arena. Tyler and Zoey on the other hand would have rather done without, I think. As for Miss Emma Claire, she was snuggled with her Popa and Moma for most of it.

I hope everyone is having an AWESOME weekend! Bye!
